Our Programmes
Holistic approaches designed to advance the physical, emotional, relational and spiritual well-being of families.Reconciling and restoring the three key relationships between mother and father; parent and child; whanau and community.
Feed My Lambs
A weekly programme for mothers and their children that runs throughout the school year.
A weekly health, wellbeing and parenting program for Mothers and Grandmothers to bring their young Tamariki to learn the skills needed to raise their Tamariki in a healthy, loving, and caring environment. Each week the session focuses on a different topic, for example: cooking, parenting, personal development, physical health, arts and crafts and informing and connecting those who attend to other community services that are of benefit to them (counselling, Plunket, educational courses, etc.)
At the most basic level it is ensuring that the most vulnerable members of our community, babies and toddlers, are receiving the supplies that they need (nappies and if necessary, formula) to grow healthily. But it is also much more than that; it is a place for mums who are struggling with life’s circumstances for whatever reason to find acceptance, friendship, hope, practical help and the chance to learn parenting and housekeeping skills. Feed My Lambs is a catalyst for change, a door into a world with the offer of a brighter future, and companions for the road, however long it may seem at times.
Tamariki Time
Tamariki Time provides a safe, stable and loving environment for children to engage in play and learning.
Our dedicated volunteers offer this alongside Feed My Lambs, so that mothers and caregivers can fully engage with the skill-building sessions being hosted right next door. Tamariki Time is about getting to know each of these children, to be aware of what is going on in their lives and development on an ongoing basis, and through love, patience and intentional interaction to influence them positively in their formative years.
Te Reo Māori
A weekly class for anyone in the community who wants to improve their understanding of Te Reo.
